Scott's Bio

Hello, my name is Scott Budgen. My tattoo career started back in 1991 in Pontiac, Michigan at Whitehouse Tattoo where I learned the art of tattooing under Mark White. After finishing my apprenticeship and working there for five years, in 1996, I opened a small studio of my own under the name ‘Dynamo Tattoo’. Dynamo was a fun and creative shop but after visiting New Orleans on vacation (and falling in love with the city), I closed Dynamo and relocated to NOLA and began working at ‘Electric Expressions’, under English Craig.

After spending a year in New Orleans, I grew homesick and moved back to Michigan where I opened my pride and joy and second shop, ‘Lady Luck Tattoo’. In the 20 years of owning and operating Lady Luck our shop was nominated and won “Best of Detroit’ in both ‘Metro Times and ‘Real Detroit’ magazines. In the time Lady Luck was open I had the opportunity to travel to and guest spot at other amazing shops and work with many amazing artists.

I chose to close ‘Lady Luck’ in the winter of 2020 to pursue new ventures and expand my horizons within the tattoo world. Namely, moving to and exploring Florida. I transitioned slowly first, working at ‘Atomic Tattoo’ in Tampa and now on to the Space Coast at ‘Endless Summer’.

Tattooing to me is not just a job but my life. I love drawing, learning new techniques, challenging myself, painting and tinkering with old tattoo machines. I excited on my new endeavor on the Space Coast and I look forward to meeting people from all walks of life. When not working, I Love spending time with my wife and our two dogs exploring Florida.
